To book, contact us by either email, mobile number or via contact page To hopefully reassure expectant parents prior to the NHS first trimester booking/screening scan Your scan will always be carried out by a qualified Sonographer with an assistant also in attendance What we offer and help we need from you: You must be 18 years or over Please do not attend if you are concerned with your early pregnancy symptoms – please always contact your NHS provider who will manage your care safely, effectively and best for you and your pregnancy You must be at least 8 weeks gestation, we are unable to offer a service prior to 8 weeks - please provide us with an LMP date (last menstrual period). Please be aware that scans are more reassuring if you are 8 weeks or more as we should then be able to detect a heartbeat if the pregnancy is ongoing. Please attend your scan with a full bladder, this will be most helpful to obtaining the best images and assessment of your pregnancy - we suggest you drink at least a pint of fluid one hour before your scan. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a transvaginal scanning service. We can help check for an intrauterine pregnancy, visualise baby's heartbeat, assess baby's crown rump length to estimate gestation and check the number of babies. We cannot provide you with an agreed due date as this is generated by your NHS provider at your first trimester dating/screening scan We do not listen to baby's heartbeat at this early gestation, ultrasound safety is our priority. You will be given a report of your scan today. Imagine Baby does not have access to your medial notes, please share this report with your midwife/healthcare team to ensure appropriate onward care. If any concerns are raised at your scan appointment, the Sonographer may also ask to discuss findings directly with your healthcare provider. We provide black and white photos of your scan and can also send scan images to your email address. Please make sure you will consent to the scanning service offered and Our Guidance/T&C's/Privacy Policy information before booking. You will be required to read and sign a consent form prior to your scan - please arrive 10 mins prior to your appointment to complete form. Payment can be made in full following attendance at your scan, no deposit will be requested at time of booking but we would appreciate 48 hour notification of a cancelled appointment, if possible.
